I changed my project idea due to many factors, the main one was that I had many ideas and that from the guide of my tutor, she had thought my project may be too much for the limitations in time that I had to do so. In doing this, of course it was not an easy transition for me as I had so many ideas and I had already done a lot of work. However, after getting over this fear of not knowing what to do next I decided to explore the impact of our consumption not just in food but in other things such as clothing.
By exploring more, I had come across a lot of research that would in turn help me find what I’m looking for in regards to inspiration. After exploring where our clothes come from and the statistics in clothing and textiles consumption, I had found the documentary a true cost, which informed me in all aspects of Fast Fashion, which involved pollution, animal cruelty and human rights. This could lead on from my first idea of my project and help the transition. By still aiming to create a magazine I had been able to plan around using statistics for my articles and focus on Ethical fashion and how to help people make informed decisions instead of just moaning about our actions like every other article.
By looking in to a different aspect of persuasive language and how I could help impacts even just a few people by this, I would hope to inform and shock people, but draw them in by beautiful images and layouts.
